The Cove Method™ is a trauma informed, attachment based framework that organizes therapy into four clear phases. Each phase builds on the next so that healing feels contained, intentional, and grounded in evidence based practice.

Instead of wondering if therapy is “working,” clients understand where they are in the process and what the focus of the work is. This is not endless talk therapy, this is intentional work that moves you towards your goals. Moves you to be your most authentic self.

C: Contain

Safety before depth. Healing begins with creating emotional and nervous system stability.

Many people try to process trauma before their system has enough support to tolerate it. In the Contain phase we focus on building internal safety. This may include nervous system education, grounding skills, emotional regulation strategies, and strengthening the internal resources that help you feel more stable in your day to day life. Containment allows your system to slow down and begin to feel supported, to feel safe, and to regulate when activated.

O: Observe

Observe patterns without shame and with curiosity.

Once stability is established, we begin exploring the patterns that shaped your emotional world. In the Observe phase we look at attachment style, family roles, cultural expectations, relationship dynamics, and the ways your mind and body learned to adapt in order to stay safe. Many clients experience a powerful shift here. What once felt confusing or self critical begins to make sense.

This phase is about reclaiming control from the patterns that once controlled you. Instead of asking “what is wrong with me,” the question becomes “what patterns did I learn and why?” Observation, understanding, and witnessing creates clarity and compassion.

V: Voice

Parts that were silenced gets to speak.

The Voice phase focuses on deeper healing and trauma processing. Using evidence based approaches such as relational psychoanalysis, EMDR, parts based work (IFS), and attachment repair, we help the parts of you that had to adapt in order to survive finally have space to be heard, to be witnessed.

For many people this includes the anxious part, the people pleaser, the critical part, the eldest daughter who learned to carry everything, or the part of you that felt like your emotions were “too much.”

In the Voice phase we do not relive the past but we focus on the impact of the past. We give it language, understanding, and space so it no longer controls the present.

E: Embody

Secure living in real time.

Insight alone does not create change. Healing becomes meaningful when it begins to show up in the way you live your life. In the Embody phase we focus on integration. This may include learning how to set boundaries without guilt, choosing healthier relationship dynamics, navigating family expectations with more clarity, or showing up in your career and personal life without shrinking yourself.

We put the work into practice!

Our clients often notice that the things that once triggered panic or self doubt begin to feel different. They feel more in control of their patterns and their life. You are no longer operating from survival patterns.

You are learning to live from security and safety.

Why this works 💫

Many therapy experiences feel unstructured or unclear.

People often leave sessions wondering if they are making progress or simply talking about the same things week after week.
