Good Faith Estimate
At Therapy Cove, we believe good care includes financial clarity. You should never have to wonder what therapy will cost. If you are paying for services yourself, you have the right to know your expected charges in writing before we begin, and we are glad to provide that.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical and mental health services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. This includes related costs such as assessments, sessions, and any additional services connected to your care.
You can ask Therapy Cove, or any provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. We will provide one in writing at least 1 business day before your scheduled service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
Save a copy or a picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
Because Therapy Cove is a self-pay practice, every client receives a Good Faith Estimate as part of getting started. Your estimate outlines our session fees and the services we expect to provide, based on the care plan you and your clinician discuss. Therapy is an ongoing relationship, so your estimate reflects an expected range of sessions rather than a fixed total, and we will update it if your needs change.
The estimate is exactly that, an estimate. Your actual care may involve more or fewer sessions depending on your goals and progress, and you are always free to discuss cost with your clinician or with our administrative team at any time.
If you are billed at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate for a given service, you may dispute the charges through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. You generally have 120 calendar days from the date of the bill to start a dispute. Starting a dispute will not affect the quality of care you receive at Therapy Cove. To learn more or begin, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
